Stephanie Byrd has been working with children and families since 1998. Earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida, she taught children at the kindergarten through sixth grade level. She later earned her Master of Science degree in Marital, Couple, and Family Therapy and has been working with individuals, couples, and families in a counseling setting since 2004. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with the State of Florida, an advanced trained practitioner in Clinical Hypnosis with Rapid Trauma Resolution, an EMDR trained therapist, a Gottman trained therapist, a Prepare/Enrich Certified Couples Counselor, a Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator and Parent Coordinator, and a Qualified Supervisor for Registered Interns of Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy.
In her work as a counselor she focuses on the inherent strengths and value of each individual, mind/body connectivity, and the systemic nature of relationships. Her approach is multidimensional, pulling from a variety of theoretical frameworks and experience, and catered to meet the unique needs of each individual, couple, or family.
